Statistics show most children today don't learn enough about how to effectively manage money. At Upper Cumberland FCU, we believe it's important for kids to learn about saving and to start from a young age. Our Kids Club program is a great stepping stone for children to learn about money management while building for the future. Kids Club is exclusive to children 12 years of age and younger.
What is a Bigfoot Buddy?
Those who participate in our Kids Club Program are known as "Bigfoot Buddies".
What do I need to open a Kids Club Account?
For minors 12 years of age and younger, you will need:
Two forms of ID such as a child's Birth Certificate and Social Security Card
At least $25 for deposit

Child may be required to be present during account opening process. Minors are required to have an adult (age 19 or older) on the account with them.

Exclusive Kids Share Dividend Rate: Jumpstart your savings with a Kids Share! This share is included with every Kids Club account. As of April 1, 2025, the Kids Share is 5.12% APY* on the first $500.
*APY= Annual Percentage Yield. 5.12% APY applies to the first $500. APY is accurate as of April 1, 2025. APY subject to change annually. Amounts over $500 within the “Kids Share” will be transferred to the “Primary Share” and will be subject to the regular share account dividend tier rate. “Kids Share” is available to children ages 12 and younger who qualify for a UCFCU Kids Club Account. A $25 deposit is required for Membership Account.
Kids Club Coins: Receive "coins" by making deposits to your account. Kids Club Coins can currently be redeemed for the following prizes
10 Coins - $5 Gift Card to your choice of Dairy Queen, McDonalds, Chick-fil-A, or Chuckles
20 Coins - $10 Gift Card to your choice of Dairy Queen, McDonalds, Chick-fil-A, or Chuckles
20 Coins - $10 Gift Card to your choice of Dairy Queen, McDonalds, Chick-fil-A, or Chuckles
Report Card Rewards: As a Kids Club member, Upper Cumberland FCU will be rewarding you with $5 per “A” Grade earned on your school report card! Just bring your report card into any credit union branch location to receive your reward. (Limit $20 per grading period)
April 2026 Youth Month Events and Specials
Bigfoot Plushie: Not yet a Bigfoot Buddy? Now's your chance to become one! Those who open a Kids Club Account during the month of April 2026 will receive one FREE Bigfoot Plushie and their UCFCU Membership FREE. Can be claimed at any Upper Cumberland FCU location.
Deposit Special: For every deposit that you make in person to your Kids Club account beginning April 1, 2026, through April 30, 2026, you will receive double coins, AND your name will be entered into a drawing for $300.00 that will be drawn on May 1, 2026.
Easter Giveaway: You will be entered for a chance to win an Easter Basket whenever you make a deposit into your Kids Club account during the following date range: March 2 – April 2, 2026. We will be giving away 4 Easter Baskets full of fun items!
Bigfoot Buddies Scavenger Hunt: Instructions and scavenger hunt worksheets will be available at any UCFCU location starting April 1, 2026, if you’d like to participate. Once you have completed the scavenger hunt worksheet, you will turn it in at any UCFCU location to receive a prize. You will also be entered into a separate drawing for a grand prize of $100.00. The scavenger hunt sheet must be turned in by April 30, 2026, to be entered in the grand prize.
